I offer beautiful and cost-effective websites that allow you to manage your own content and photographs, easily and quickly. This means that once your customized website is up-and-running, you can swap out your text and photos — changing things to reflect new ideas, services, products, or other dynamic elements of your business, without having to pay anyone to make the changes. You can even do this at 2 am, when you can’t sleep because you’ve had a great idea for your business and want to put it up on your site.
My company, Linden Webworks, offers some distinct advantages to my clients:
- A human connection: the world of technology is complex and ever
changing, and disorienting to most of us. I can help you understand and
be comfortable with what you’re getting for your money, why it’s a good
investment, and how to maximize every dollar you spend. In other words,
I can help make the complex and sometimes overwhelming world of web
technology much less complex and overwhelming.
- Highly cost-effective: my company is 99% run by me, so our
conversations can be translated directly into your website design. Any
additional help I might need is on a contract basis. In other words,
the dollars you pay me go directly to your design, not into office
rent, numerous employees, or other hidden costs.
- A rich understanding of the psychology of people in your market who use the web: I've studied many types of psychology over the past decade, from developmental psychology to personality typologies, and was also a former associate editor for the Integral Institute's academic journal. I am passionate about psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, linguistics, and contemplative traditions. Combining knowledge in these areas with usability issues on the web and the psychology of internet users allows me to have an intimate understanding of people in the "green" market who use the web.
- Talented freelancers at my disposal: should you need help with
copywriting, logo design, search engine optimization,
or any number of other things that might become apparent as I build
your site, I can put you in touch with talented and tested
professionals.
- The Latest and best technology: I stay well informed of the latest trends and software tools and can help you incorporate them into your web presence.
- An understanding of your story: behind every desire to create a website is a person with a story full of visions, challenges, passion, and hope. Your website can help you bring change to your life and the lives of your clients and customers, in positive ways. I keep this in mind every step of the way during the project.
- High quality education and instruction: whether I'm building your site or teaching you how to build a website with Joomla (the content management system I use to build websites), I make sure you have a full, comprehensive grasp of how to use the software that's powering your site. I'm very patient and more than happy to hold your hand while I teach you how to manage your website.
- A dedication to excellence: I only make the absolute finest websites, customized to your needs. The process of working with me is organized, clear, easy-to-understand, and provides clear timetables and deliverables that you can count on.
The bottom line is that I will connect with you around your project on an emotional, intellectual, and even spiritual level. I act as a bridge between the silicon world of technology, and the human world of dreams, desires, and everyday life. My mission is to help people use web technology in ways that can help them manifest their goals and visions.
On a personal note, I live in Boulder, Colorado with my lovely wife Bari who is the owner of Conscious Bookkeeping (website built by me), and the new addition to our family, Noah, who was born on August 9th, 2008. I'm in love with them, and with the mountains around where we live. I enjoy cycling, meditation, and hiking.
My passion for psychology, cognitive science, and the world's wisdom traditions led me to work with Ken Wilber at his Integral Institute for 3 years as the Associate Editor for the Institute's academic journal, AQAL: The Journal of Integral Theory and Practice. I was also an assistant teacher for Ken in online courses for Integral Theory.
That work led to a wonderful job at a highly innovative start up company in the Silicon Valley, called Infinite Z. They are working on bringing a groundbreaking virtual holographic computer platform to the market, and it was there that I fell in love with the intersection of human perception, physiology, and psychology with leading edge technology. I worked in their user interface department, which involved working with virtual world issues, cognitive science, neuroscience, linguistics, stereoscopic image generation, and user interface design, among many other things.
